We are extremely excited about the work we are doing now and the manner in which we intend to move forward. The feedback of regular, committed users such as yourself will be invaluable to succeeding in our goals.

Please continue to visit the blog and share your thoughts with us. In the coming weeks and months you should expect to see more detail about what we are doing as we publish and document our progress.

Lastly, thank you for your suggesting regarding a "lite" version. As with any other request, we will include this in our thinking and planning.

Best,

Corey Krehel

Re: 5 Will Get You SIx. Part II: Development

Corey,
I cannot fully express my excitement about your model for SI6. Similar to the Harmony One (say what you want for the CI channel), the product for the direct consumer was revolutionary. Logitech created a truly revolutionary product by leveraging the feedback of end users to add those critical features they wanted and none of the stuff they didn't.

I look forward to helping with SI6, to create an application that truly sets the standard for our industry. Your 'backwards' model of focusing on the customer and their needs will help SI6 be the revolutionary product our industry needs. Thank you for everything you do.

Sidebar: Plan in a 'lite' version to allow a lower entry cost for smaller/uneducated dealers that don't yet see the value of D-Tools. When properly implemented D-Tools is a no brainer for any custom installation company, no matter their size, because it is the only solution that gives the critical data needed for every project.

Re: 5 will get you SIx…Part I

Looking forward to some of those great features. We would love to be involved in any way we can as a company to provide insight on features, usability, and functionality. D-Tools has drastically shifted our business and I can truly say that it is the number one thing that has allowed us to survive the recession. Keep up the great work!

Re: Part 4 – From NetSuite to Oasis

Worst piece of software ever.
Adam, we shared the exact same experience.
Cannot even gauge the amount of lost man-hours and sales loss of productivity due to this faisco of a move, but I would hazard your estimate of six figure losses is accurate. The software’s ineptitude is only matched by the poor service and response from support, which was virtually non-existent. We took it one step further and tried customized work from them, which they happily cashed the check for and never delivered.
Slowasis has become a company bad joke and I look forward to having this chapter behind us.
